Profile ![]() I'm constantly broke and struggling to save enough money to fly to Korea to marry my future husband (see below). This derp is my one true love. But I also love dramas, TV, music, movies, kpop and cooing over my beloved OTPs. One day I will travel the world and do great things. In the meantime, don't forget to send the naked band boys on 30 December. I accept all nationalities. Thank you. Xiexie. Kamsamhamnida. |

Music: Time-Bomb - All Time Low Don't you love how when it's the exams period, there's a million and one things that you want to do, and when the exams are finally over you're just too goddamned lazy to do anything? Well, that's how I am, at least. I had like an entire list of all the things I wanted to do during this three-week break, but so far, I don't think I've done anything on that list. My freedom has pretty much consisted of using the computer, eating, eating, eating, sleeping late, waking up late. Rinse and repeat. Surprisingly, I did actually leave the house yesterday though. I won a pair of tickets to Finding Mr. Destiny. It wasn't the vapid fluffy mess I thought it was going to be, though it is by no means amazing. It was just okay. Well-acted, and maybe not as entertaining as I expected. I do love myself some Gong Yoo though. I hope he does a drama really really soon. And not like some Iris or Athena type crap, please. ![]() Okay now for I Am Number Four. Oh trailer, how you deceived me so. To be succinct, I'll divide it into what's good about the movie, and what, ahem, wasn't. What's good: ![]() Ah she is so bad ass. And I love that she could keep her original Australian accent in the movie. I have no idea whether Number Six is supposed to be Australian, but who cares, we all saw how following the book did for Alex Pettyfer. If this movie was I Am Number Six, oh how happy that would have made me. ![]() Love love love Sam! I thought Callan was kinda awkward at the start, but after awhile, oh man, he completely blew Alex out of the water. May I remind you that this kid is sixteen and Australian? And his American accent is freaking flawless. What's not so good: Pretty much everything else. The plot was I dunno... so blah. And there were so many unexplained things. Maybe they wanted to tease and make us anticipate the sequel, but you can't make people excited for the next one if you don't give us anything in the first. The trailer made this show out to be this awesome action/sci-fi movie, but it wasn't. I think the action was probably all crammed into the last 40 minutes, after Number Six joined in. The first hour was laughably bad. Like, I honestly burst out laughing at several parts. I think partly it's got to do with casting. Why cast a British guy when the lead character's American? It doesn't make sense. He can't even do the accent convincingly. I honestly believe Alex is a decent actor. Honestly. But not when he has to act in his stilted American accent. It just made everything horrible. And when he had to do voiceovers and rely on nothing but his voice, it was so monotonous and sorry, bad. Dianna Agron is yes, gorgeous, but sooooo boring as a character. And when you put the two together as leads, it was just disaster. Thank goodness for Sam. And another part was the cheeeeeeese. Some of the dialogue was so cheesy! Like it ventured into Twilight territory. I can't remember any of them but they were just awful and so so cringey. Seriously second hand embarrassment stuff. After all that, I'll still watch Beastly though. Although I'm more wary now. I know it was filmed before I Am Number Four and his accent is probably even more horrendous, but I can't help myself. I know I know, it's like I'm asking for it. But have you seen how adorable these are? ![]() ![]() ![]() Labels: alex pettyfer, callan mcauliffe have my babies, i am number four 2:57 PM
